Meditation as a time-out

Many schools and parenting books recommend giving children a time-out instead of physical punishment. These time-outs must be given with compassion. The heart is the key to success with children. Techniques, even meditation come after the heart and deeper intentions. If meditation is prescribed so that a child stops being a nuisance, then the child may not be receptive to it. If it is taught to genuinely help the child then it is very likely that the child will take to it. Children can read our intentions very clearly. Honesty is best policy. And if the children are less than 8 years old, then teaching by example is the best way to teach.

About Saurabh J. Madan

What is my life's purpose? Why am I here. This work is my answer to me. It is work that connects me to joy. It reminds me of the privilege of living with purpose. It energises me, challenges me, exhausts me, motivates me, demands my very life from me so it can give me back even more. This work is my dream. I am here to help other dreamers realize their dreams here on earth.
