On the negative, when our needs are not met, and we have not learned to regulate our emotions and use them positively, we resort to the negative behaviors I have listed above. This is an orientation, rather than a map. The emotions will vary by each individual.
One of the affirmations that can help when experiencing these emotions is from EFT:
1. Even though I feel alone, I intend to be there for me.
2. Even though I am angry, I honor and respect and acknowledge that I have anger right now.
I try to understand what this anger is telling me.
I try to understand what value my anger is asking me to defend?
3. Even thought I feel disappointed or others are disappointed in me, I choose to recognize my innate dignity and try to do what is the right thing to do for all.
