The truth demands courage

The truth demands courage,
have you it in you?
Socrates died for his own truth,
have you it in you?

That which you have realised,
are you there to live?
What you have gained from it,
are you there to give?

And when the truth is realised,
Courage too is gained.
Gained is light and wisdom
and mind has become tamed.

But courage is lived,
by those prepared to die,
in the thought and motion,
heights you will reach high.
