One Year One Goal

The One Year One Goal started out as an experiment to support students who had worked with me in the past. The first full year was an experimental program. Towards the end of it, I felt that it made a difference for the people who dedicated themselves to it, so I continued. Now we are in the fourth year. This course is for old students only.

Tracks:

There are 3 tracks in the program

1. Physical Creation Track - Meeting external goals such as creating wealth, businesses. Until the first track is at a comfortable place, we cannot really go deep in other tracks. Having a stable income, good health, and intellectual capacities, can empower us to look deeper inwards. And particularly for people who have strong detachment or renunciation tendencies, engaging constructively with the physical world is a vital aspect of the earthly experience. The primary tools used here are visualization, affirmations, goal setting, tracking, taking action, and of course celebration.

2. The Emotional Foundation Path  - This new track is about developing a strong emotional foundation. The most important work we will do here is inner child healing. I think a full year of working with emotions and inner qualities such as - self-love, self-respect, and self-approval can immensely help with physical creation. Many times, physical creation also stops because a person is not emotionally ready to handle the kind of success that comes with massive success and can end up harming themselves or others. The primary tools used here are affirmations for self-love, self-respect, or self-approval, the Enneagram to understand our root fears, and work dedicatedly on improving ourselves. In-person group sessions are important for this track, it cannot be done without regular attendance.

3. The Balanced Track - The third track is more advanced. It is about marrying spirit and matter. In order to create a life with good energy and good karma, often we need to decode the destructive patterns of the mind. This requires honest self-reflection that is often difficult to do and can seem counter-productive in the short run. Meditation is one of the important tools in this process, but so is learning from life. When negative situations arise, are we able to transform them into something of value? This track is beyond positives and negatives, it is about transcending situations, one situation at a time. It requires a lot of patience and dedication. It requires us to transcend the tendency to blame others and have tools and strongly grounded practices to bring situations of all kinds to the most constructive outcomes.

  2. Our goals need to constantly align with what is win-win-win - good for yourself, good for others, and good for the universe.
  3. You must love what you do or make a path towards loving what you do.
  4. Improvement over perfection. Even if it takes many years, we are dedicated to our goal and wellbeing.
  5. Contribute to the group by setting a good example. We will all contribute to building an atmosphere and inspire others to take more responsibility and build beautiful lives with dedication and joy.
  6. Make the journey joyful. We enjoy the path as much as we enjoy the destination.
